Industries We Serve

Pro Locksmith has worked on South Florida buildings since 2016, dispatching from Fort Lauderdale across Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach. Over that time one thing has become clear: the lock on the door matters far less than what the building does all day.

A restaurant with a single back door that forty deliveries a week pass through has almost nothing in common with a medical office that has to control which three people can reach a records room. A marina gate lives in salt spray. A school needs every classroom to lock from the inside in seconds. Same trade, completely different problems.

These are the building types we work on most often, and what each one actually needs.

Property and hospitality

  • Condo Associations and Multifamily — master key planning that lets management reach common areas without holding a key to every unit, plus the paperwork trail boards ask for.
  • Hotels and Hospitality — guest room hardware that turns over constantly, back-of-house separation, and doors that never get a quiet hour.
  • Marinas and Yachts — gates, dock boxes and storage in constant salt exposure, where hardware fails years earlier than the same lock inland.

Offices and healthcare

  • Offices and Corporate — suite doors, server and file rooms, and key control that survives staff coming and going.
  • Medical and Dental Practices — controlled access to records and medication storage, separated cleanly from general staff access.

Restaurants, bars and storefronts

  • Restaurants and Bars — back doors that take heavy delivery traffic, late closes, and high staff turnover that makes rekeying routine rather than occasional.
  • Retail and Storefronts — glass door hardware, stockroom separation, and closing procedures that work when the person closing is nineteen and it is their third shift.

Schools, places of worship and community buildings

  • Schools and Education — classroom function locks, controlled entry points, and hardware that has to work under pressure and be operable by a teacher without training.
  • Churches, Synagogues and Temples — buildings that must stay welcoming and open while still protecting offices, donations and children’s areas.

Industrial

What is the same in every one of them

Whatever the building does, three questions decide the work. Who needs to get in. What happens when one of those people leaves. And what has to keep working when something fails at the worst possible moment.

Most commercial calls we take are not about a broken lock. They are about key control that drifted — a set of keys nobody can account for, a master system that grew one door at a time until nobody knows what opens what, or a departure that means a cylinder should have been rekeyed and was not. In most of those cases the existing hardware is fine and only the pinning needs to change.

Doors, not just locks

Commercial doors take a beating that residential doors never see. Closers drift out of adjustment, frames shift, exit devices fall out of alignment, and the symptom shows up as a lock that will not turn. Replacing the lock on a door that has moved fixes nothing — the new bolt meets the same misaligned strike.

Broward County sits inside the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone, which sets a demanding standard for exterior openings. On commercial buildings that also carry life-safety requirements on exit doors, getting the diagnosis right before anything is ordered is the difference between a repair that holds and one that comes back.

Talk to us about your building

If your building type is not on this list, it does not mean we do not work on it — these are simply the ones that come up most. The useful conversation starts with what the building does and who has to move through it.

Pro Locksmith is licensed and insured, works across Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach, and provides 24-Hour Emergency service when a door will not open and the business cannot wait. Call (954) 406-8266.
