Commercial & Industrial Locksmith Riviera Beach

Commercial & Industrial Locksmith Riviera Beach

Riviera Beach is a working waterfront. It has a deepwater port, a rail yard, a Coast Guard station, a belt of warehouses feeding I-95, two big marinas, and a barrier island lined with condo towers and resorts. Every one of those properties runs on doors, locks, keys, and hardware that take a beating from cargo traffic, salt air, and around-the-clock use. This page is for the people responsible for that hardware: port tenants, warehouse managers, marina operators, condo boards, resort engineers, and small business owners along Broadway and Blue Heron Boulevard. PRO Locksmith is a family-owned commercial locksmith serving Riviera Beach from a fully stocked truck, licensed and insured, and you can reach us at (954) 406-8266.

We handle the heavy end of the trade here: padlocks and hasps rated for outdoor abuse, roll-up and overhead door locks, panic hardware that passes inspection, master key systems that survive turnover, and access control that lets a dock manager cancel a lost card from a phone. We also do the ordinary work, rekeying an office after a manager leaves or fixing a storefront door that will not latch, because the ordinary work is most of what keeps a business secure.

The Four Riviera Beach Properties We See Most

A commercial locksmith in Riviera Beach works four very different kinds of buildings, sometimes in a single day. Each has its own hardware, its own failure points, and its own rules.

  • Port and rail-adjacent industrial. Warehouses, terminals, and yards around the Port of Palm Beach and the Florida East Coast rail line. Steel doors, roll-ups, chain link gates, and a lot of padlocks.
  • Distribution and light manufacturing. The warehouse corridor stretching west along Blue Heron Boulevard toward I-95 and Congress Avenue, plus the industrial pockets off Garden Road, Avenue L, and West 13th Street. Dock doors, man doors, office suites, and fleet vehicles.
  • Marinas and waterfront commercial. Riviera Beach Marina Village on East 13th Street, Safe Harbor New Port Cove on East 22nd Court, and the boat yards, fuel docks, ship stores, and bait shops around them. Gates, lockers, dock boxes, and salt-eaten everything.
  • Singer Island condos and resorts. The towers along North Ocean Drive, the resorts, and the Ocean Mall retail by the municipal beach. Lobby doors, amenity rooms, unit locks, and fire-rated stair doors.

The rest of this page walks through each, then covers the hardware and pricing that apply to all of them.

Port of Palm Beach Tenants and the Industrial Waterfront

The Port of Palm Beach sits inside Riviera Beach city limits, with three slips, seventeen berths, seven roll-on roll-off ramps, and on-dock rail that moves cargo straight onto the FEC line. Dozens of tenant companies operate inside and around it, moving containers, bulk cargo, project freight, and the food exports that make up most of what leaves the docks. Those tenants are a big part of what commercial locksmith work in Riviera Beach looks like.

Port-area buildings share a few traits. Doors are steel, often on hollow metal frames that have been hit by forklifts. Gates are chain link or cantilever slide gates with padlocks and chains. Storage cages, tool cribs, and container yards use padlocks by the dozen. Offices sit inside the warehouse and need a separate key from the warehouse floor. Trucks and yard equipment have their own keys and their own lockouts.

For those customers we do a lot of:

  • Replacing padlocks with keyed-alike or master-keyed sets so a yard supervisor carries one key, not thirty.
  • Installing heavy-duty hasps and shrouded padlocks on container doors, cages, and gates where a bolt cutter is the realistic threat.
  • Repairing steel man doors that no longer close: worn hinges, sagging frames, broken closers, and latches that drag on the strike.
  • Rekeying office and control-room doors after contract changes, since port-area staffing turns over with every new tenant or shipping season.

If your facility is inside a secured area, tell us when you call so our technician arrives with the right credentials and paperwork.

Warehouses, Distribution, and the Blue Heron Corridor

Blue Heron Boulevard is the logistics spine of the city, running from the port west past Broadway, past Congress Avenue, and on to I-95. The warehouses along it and in the industrial streets to either side, Garden Road, Avenue L, West 13th Street, and the blocks around the President Barack Obama Highway rail corridor, are where most of our industrial calls originate.

Roll-up and overhead door locks

A warehouse roll-up door usually has one of three locking arrangements: a slide bolt with a padlock on the inside, a keyed cylinder lock in the curtain that throws bolts into the guides, or nothing but the electric operator. The first two wear out; the third is not a lock at all. We install and repair curtain locks and slide bolts, add exterior-keyed cylinders where the door must be opened from outside, and fit padlock hasps at the bottom bar for doors that will be locked overnight. For sectional overhead doors, we install slide locks and keyed T-handles and fix the ones that have been bent by a hurried driver.

Dock and man doors

The steel door beside the dock is the one every employee, driver, and delivery uses, and it fails first. Common repairs: replacing a cylindrical lever lock that has been kicked loose, swapping a worn deadbolt for a grade 1 unit, replacing a closer that slams or will not latch, and adding a latch guard so the door cannot be slipped from outside. We stock Schlage, Sargent, and Yale commercial locks and LCN and Norton closers, so most repairs are finished in the first visit.

Fleet and yard equipment keys

A distribution operation has as many vehicle keys as door keys. We cut and program keys for box trucks, cargo vans, and pickups, make duplicates for forklifts and yard tractors, and get a driver back into a locked cab without damage. Our automotive locksmith team handles that side, often on the same visit as the building work.

Marina Village, Safe Harbor New Port Cove, and the Boat Yards

Riviera Beach Marina Village on East 13th Street has 170 floating slips and a long face dock, and it sits just north of the port in a slow-speed zone close to the Lake Worth Inlet. Safe Harbor New Port Cove on East 22nd Court, north of the Blue Heron Bridge, adds 49 wet slips and 300 dry storage spaces. Between them, along with the fuel docks, the shuttle to Peanut Island, the ship stores, and the bait and tackle shops, the marina district employs a lot of people and locks a lot of doors.

Marina hardware fails for one reason: salt. A gate padlock that would last fifteen years in an office park lasts three at a fuel dock. Dock box locks seize. Ship store deadbolts pit and bind. The dockmaster’s office key sticks every morning until someone forces it and snaps it.

What we bring to marina work:

  • Marine-grade padlocks in brass, stainless, or laminated steel with shrouded shackles for gates, dock carts, storage cages, and dock boxes, keyed alike or master keyed to the marina’s system.
  • Stainless and brass commercial locks for office, store, and restroom doors within sight of the water, with Medeco or Mul-T-Lock cylinders where the marina wants keys that cannot be copied at a kiosk.
  • Gate access control for slip holders: keypad or card readers at pedestrian gates, with a schedule that opens them during business hours and a system that lets the office cancel a code the day a slip changes hands. See our access control page for the options.
  • Gate repair for the swing and slide gates that get rammed by trailers and warped by heat. Our gate repair crew straightens, rehangs, and relocks them.
  • Vessel work for the yard’s own boats and for slip holders who ask: cabin locks, ignition keys, and locker cylinders, keyed to a single key where possible.

Singer Island Condos, Resorts, and the Ocean Mall

Cross the Blue Heron Bridge and the work changes completely. Singer Island’s stretch of North Ocean Drive is lined with condominium towers, including the 42-story Tiara, along with the Marriott and Hilton resorts, the Amrit Ocean Resort, and smaller condo and rental buildings that run down to the municipal beach and the Ocean Mall. Ocean Reef Park sits at the north end. This is high-density, high-turnover property with a lot of doors and a lot of people who have keys.

Condo and resort hardware is a different discipline from warehouse hardware. The concerns are fire code, unit key control, amenity access, and hardware that looks appropriate in a lobby. Typical projects for a commercial locksmith in Riviera Beach on the island side:

  • Building master key systems where the association master opens common areas, the maintenance master opens mechanical and roof doors, and unit owners’ keys open only their own door. Set up correctly, a lost maintenance key means rekeying a handful of cylinders, not the building. Our master key systems page explains the structure.
  • Fire-rated stair and corridor doors with the right closers, latches, and exit hardware so the annual inspection passes without a punch list.
  • Amenity access: keypads or fob readers on pool gates, fitness rooms, and owners’ lounges, with codes that change when a renter leaves.
  • Unit rekeying at turnover for the rental and resort inventory, done in batches so the front desk is not handing out keys that a previous guest still holds.
  • Sliding glass door locks on balconies facing the ocean, where the salt air destroys the factory latch in a few years. Our sliding glass and patio door lock service replaces them with hardware that holds up.

For boards and property managers we also do a walk-through commercial security assessment that lists every exterior door, its hardware, its condition, and what to fix first. It is a useful document to have before budget season.

Panic Bars, Exit Devices, and the Inspector

Any building in Riviera Beach where the public gathers, from a warehouse break room to a resort ballroom, has exit doors that must open with one motion, without a key, from the inside. That means panic hardware, and panic hardware is where inspectors spend their time.

We install and repair Von Duprin, Sargent, Detex, and Yale exit devices on steel, aluminum, and wood doors, including rim, vertical rod, and mortise types. We replace the closers that keep those doors shutting, usually LCN, Norton, or Dorma, and we fit Detex alarmed exit hardware where a door needs to stay closed to the public but open in an emergency. We also fix the everyday problems: a bar that has to be pushed twice, a dogging feature that no longer holds, a rod that has slipped out of adjustment and lets the door rattle open in the wind.

If the inspector has already left you a list, send it to us. Our push bar install and repair service is built around getting those items closed out in one visit.

Padlocks, Hasps, and Chains That Survive Outdoors

Riviera Beach industrial properties run on padlocks, and most of the padlocks we see are the wrong ones. A hardware-store laminated padlock with an open shackle on a container in a port yard is a suggestion, not a lock. Here is how we specify padlocks for outdoor commercial use in this city:

  • Shrouded or hidden shackle so a bolt cutter has nothing to grab. Puck-style locks with a matching hasp are the standard for container doors and roll-up bottom bars.
  • Solid brass or stainless bodies near the water; hardened steel with a weather cover for yards away from the salt.
  • Rekeyable cylinders, so when a key is lost you rekey the lock rather than cut it off and buy another.
  • Keyed alike or master keyed across the property, with a code record on file so replacements match without a site visit.
  • Hasps bolted through, not screwed on. A padlock is only as strong as the hasp, and a hasp held by four wood screws into a door edge is the weak point every time.

We supply and key padlocks on site, including high-security padlocks with Medeco and Mul-T-Lock cylinders for cages holding tools, copper, or anything that walks off.

Master Keys and Rekeying When Staff Change

The single most valuable thing a commercial locksmith in Riviera Beach can do for a business is make lost keys cheap. A master key system does that. Every door gets a cylinder pinned to a chart: a warehouse key opens the warehouse, an office key opens the office, a supervisor key opens both, and the owner’s key opens everything. When a supervisor leaves, we rekey the doors on the supervisor level and hand out new keys for that level only. The rest of the building is untouched.

We build systems on Schlage, Sargent, and Yale cylinders for standard needs, and on Medeco or Mul-T-Lock for facilities where keys must not be copied without authorization. Every system comes with a chart and a key record so the next locksmith, or the next manager, can add doors without starting over.

For simple rekeying without a master system, our business lock rekey service handles a suite, a storefront, or a whole warehouse. Lock rekeying is $40 to $95 per lock, quoted upfront before work starts.

Locked Out of a Business, Warehouse, or Storage Unit

Commercial lockouts happen at the worst hours: the 5 a.m. warehouse opening, the Sunday resort shift change, the delivery driver who cannot get into the yard because the padlock key went home with someone else. Our 24-hour emergency line covers all of it, and we dispatch the nearest technician to the address. Regular hours run during the week and Sunday afternoons for scheduled work.

A business lockout is $95 to $445, quoted upfront before work starts. The range depends on the door and the lock: a standard storefront lever is at the low end, a high-security cylinder on a steel door or a seized padlock on a gate is higher. We open without damage in almost every case, and when a lock must be drilled, we say so before we start and replace it in the same visit.

What Commercial and Industrial Locksmith Work Costs

We quote one price for the finished job, before we start, and that is the price. The ranges we quote in Riviera Beach:
