24-Hour Emergency Locksmith Coconut Creek

24-Hour Emergency Locksmith Coconut Creek

Locked out in Coconut Creek at an hour when nothing else is open? This page explains what PRO Locksmith does on an emergency call, what it costs, and how we handle the parts of the city that make an urgent job different: the guard gate at Wynmoor, the villages of the Township, the parking garages at the Promenade and the lots around the Seminole Casino. We are a family-owned, licensed and insured mobile locksmith serving Broward and Palm Beach counties since 2016. The 24-hour emergency line is (954) 406-8266. Call it for a house, car or business lockout, a break-in, a snapped key or a lost set, and we dispatch the nearest technician with a firm price given before any work starts.

Three Kinds of Emergency, One Number

An emergency locksmith call in Coconut Creek is almost always one of three things, and we handle all three from the same truck.

A house or condo lockout. The door closed behind you, the key is on the kitchen counter, the deadbolt was thrown by a family member who did not know you were outside, or the key simply will not turn anymore. We pick or bypass the lock and leave it working. House lockouts run $95 to $445, quoted upfront before work starts, and the number depends on the lock, not on the hour.

A car lockout or lost car key. Keys locked in the trunk at the Promenade, a fob that stopped responding in the casino garage, a key that broke in the door of an older Honda on Lyons Road. We open the vehicle without damage and, if the key is gone for good, cut and program a new one on site. Car lockouts run $95 to $345 and a car key made starts from $110, all quoted upfront before work starts.

A business lockout or a break-in. A storefront manager who cannot get in to open, a restaurant closing at midnight with a back door that will not secure, or an office along State Road 7 with a kicked-in frame at 3 a.m. We open the door, secure the property tonight and come back for the permanent repair. Business lockouts run $95 to $445, quoted upfront before work starts.

The same technician who does the lockout carries the parts for the repair, so an emergency call does not turn into a second appointment unless you want it to.

How a Night Call Actually Works

Here is what happens between your call and the moment your door is open.

  • You call (954) 406-8266. A person answers, not a menu. We ask where you are, what kind of lock or vehicle it is, and whether there is a gate or a guardhouse.
  • We tell you the price range for that job and dispatch the nearest technician. If you are at a gated community, we ask you to call the gate so our truck is expected.
  • When the technician arrives, he looks at the lock, confirms the firm price, and asks for identification showing you belong at that address or to that vehicle. This step protects you as much as anyone.
  • The lock or car is opened. In nearly every residential and automotive case, that means picking, decoding or bypassing, not drilling or breaking. Drilling is reserved for failed or high-security cylinders and we tell you before we do it.
  • You pay the number you were quoted. Then we talk about whether anything should be rekeyed, replaced or repaired, and you decide.

We keep regular hours during the week and Sunday afternoons for scheduled work, and the emergency line stays open around the clock for the calls that cannot wait. More detail is on our emergency locksmith page.

Wynmoor Village: Guard Gates, Older Locks and Late Calls

Wynmoor is its own world inside Coconut Creek: a gated 55-plus community with more than five thousand condominium units across more than a hundred mid-rise buildings, built between the late 1970s and the 1990s. We get emergency calls from Wynmoor every week, and they tend to follow a pattern. A resident steps out to the trash chute or the laundry room, the door swings shut on a spring closer, and the key is inside. Or a key that has been turning the same cylinder since the building went up finally shears off in the lock.

Three things we do differently at Wynmoor. We ask you to notify the guard gate so the truck is cleared before it arrives, since the gate cannot wave in an unknown vehicle at midnight. We carry the older-style cylinders and levers that match what the buildings were originally fitted with, so a replacement does not have to wait for a special order. And we work quietly. Most of your neighbors are asleep, and an emergency lockout at 1 a.m. does not need to wake the floor.

If a key breaks in a Wynmoor door, do not keep trying to turn the stub. Our broken key extraction tools pull the fragment without damaging the pins, and we cut a fresh key from the pieces or from the lock itself. If the lock is worn enough to break a key, it is usually worn enough to warrant a rekey or replacement, and we will tell you which.

The Township and Its Villages

The Township is a master-planned community of villas, townhomes, condominiums and single-family homes arranged into named villages such as Karanda Village, Baywood Village and Bayport Village, with lakes and parks running between them. It is a mix of long-time owners and newer families, which means a mix of original 1980s hardware and recently installed keypad locks.

The emergency calls we see in the Township are split between classic lockouts and smart-lock failures. On the smart-lock side, a dead battery on a keypad deadbolt is the single most common reason a family in the Township is standing outside at night. We open those locks without harming them and then replace the batteries, and we show you the emergency power contacts so it does not happen twice. On the classic side, villa doors with a knob lock and a separate deadbolt sometimes get double-locked by a family member inside who did not hear you leave. We open both.

Because many Township units back onto lakes and walking paths, sliding glass doors are a frequent point of failure. A slider that will not latch on a rainy night is an emergency as far as the homeowner is concerned, and we treat it as one. We install a secondary lock or replace the latch on the spot, then come back for a full sliding glass door repair if the rollers are worn.

Car Lockouts Around the Seminole Casino and the Promenade

Coconut Creek has two places where people gather in large numbers late at night: the Seminole Casino on NW 40th Street just east of State Road 7, and the Promenade at Coconut Creek on Lyons Road, with its restaurants, theater and two parking garages. Between them, they account for a large share of the automotive emergency calls we get in this city.

A casino lot at 2 a.m. is an easy place to lock your keys in the car, misplace a fob between a jacket and a slot machine, or discover a fob battery has died. The Promenade garage is where a family walks out of a movie to find a key that will not unlock anything. We open all of it: mechanical door locks on older Toyotas and Fords, keyless-entry systems on newer BMWs and Hondas, and trunks where the keys ended up under a bag. When a fob is dead rather than lost, we can often diagnose and replace the battery or reprogram it right there, which is far cheaper than a new key.

When the keys are truly gone, our car key replacement and programming service cuts and programs a new transponder key or fob at your car. No tow, no dealership appointment. We carry blanks and programming equipment for the makes we see most on Coconut Creek roads, and we quote the price upfront before work starts. If a key snapped in an ignition, see our ignition repair and replacement service; we can often repair the cylinder rather than replace it.

A practical tip for the casino: if you are calling from the garage, walk to a level with cell reception and give us the level and the row. Our technician will find you faster with “third level, north end” than with “somewhere inside.”

Break-In Repairs and Securing a Home Tonight

Coming home to a damaged door is one of the harder emergency calls, and our job that night is simple: make the house secure so you can sleep in it. We do not sell you a full security overhaul at midnight. We repair or replace the damaged lock, reinforce or splint a split jamb, install a temporary bolt if the frame needs a carpenter, and board a broken glass panel if needed. Then we come back in daylight to do the permanent work.

What we typically find and fix on a break-in call in Coconut Creek:

  • A kicked front door where the deadbolt held but the jamb split. We install a reinforced strike plate with long screws into the stud, and replace the deadbolt with a Grade 1 model from Schlage, Kwikset or Medeco.
  • A pried sliding glass door. We replace the latch, add a pin lock or a bottom-rail bolt, and adjust the door so it cannot be lifted out of the track.
  • A garage side door with a broken knob lock. We install a proper deadbolt, because that door was never meant to be the weak point it became.
  • A rear door on a business with a broken panic bar or a bent closer. We replace the push bar or closer with Von Duprin, LCN or Norton hardware that meets code, since a business cannot open in the morning with a non-functioning exit device.

Keys that were taken during a burglary mean every lock they fit needs to be rekeyed. We do that the same night if you want it done, at $40 to $95 per lock, quoted upfront before work starts.

Businesses Along State Road 7, Lyons Road and Hillsboro Boulevard

Coconut Creek’s commercial life runs along a few corridors: State Road 7 and the casino district, Lyons Road from Hillsboro Boulevard south past the Promenade and Veterans Park, Sample Road, and the MainStreet area the city has planned between Wiles Road, Lyons Road, Sample Road and State Road 7. Restaurants, medical offices, salons, small warehouses and retail plazas all have the same problem at the wrong hour: a manager who cannot get in, an employee who left with the only key, or a door that will not lock at closing.

Our commercial emergency work covers storefront lockouts, broken keys in aluminum storefront locks, jammed panic bars, failed door closers that leave a door swinging open, and lost master keys. We carry Sargent, Schlage and Yale commercial cylinders and levers, LCN and Norton closers, and Von Duprin and Detex exit devices, so a night call usually ends with a working door rather than a plywood patch. For the follow-up, our commercial locksmith service handles rekeys, master key systems and access control during regular hours.

A word to managers: a lost master key is an emergency even if nobody is locked out. If a key that opens every door in the building walks off, call us that day. Rekeying a small plaza suite takes an afternoon and costs far less than the alternative.

Lost All Your Keys? What to Do in the First Hour

Losing the whole ring, house and car together, is different from a lockout. You are not just outside; you no longer control who can get in. Here is the order we recommend.

  • Retrace the last hour honestly. The Promenade, Butterfly World at Tradewinds Park, the fitness center on Lyons Road, the casino: all have lost-and-found desks, and keys turn up more often than people expect.
  • If the ring had anything with your address on it, treat the house locks as compromised. Call us to rekey the exterior doors. If the ring was plain, you have more time, but not unlimited time.
  • For the car, decide if you want a new key made at the vehicle or a spare retrieved from home first. If you have a spare, we can open the house and you can drive. If you do not, we make a new key on site and, where the vehicle allows it, erase the lost key from the car’s memory so it can no longer start the engine.
  • Replace the mailbox lock if the mailbox key was on the ring. It is a small job and a real gap.

Our lost all keys page covers the vehicle side in detail, including which makes require dealer codes and which we can handle entirely from the truck.

What Emergency Work Costs, and Why It Is Not a Mystery

Emergency locksmithing has a reputation for surprise invoices. We do not work that way. Every job on this page has a published range, and you get a single firm number before the technician touches the lock.

  • Service call and diagnostic: $55, applied when you want an assessment without a repair.
  • House lockout: $95 to $445.
  • Car lockout: $95 to $345.
  • Business lockout: $95 to $445.
  • Lock rekeying: $40 to $95 per lock.
  • Lock change: $65 to $345.
  • Car key made: from $110.

All quoted upfront before work starts. Where in the range you land depends on the lock or vehicle, the amount of labor and any parts. A basic knob lock on a villa is at the bottom. A high-security deadbolt that must be opened without damage, or a late-model European fob that needs programming, is toward the top. The full list is on our pricing page below.
